Glow

Glow reflects the heart of Christ in providing a holistic salvation. The Glow Project of LightWk focuses on community development, social welfare and corporate social responsibility. Here, make manifest the social aspects of the Gospel of Christ. This is done both on a sole organizational level as well as in a collaborative sense. Every year, LightWk undertakes at least three major community projects. Some notable ones include the mobilization of about a 100 young people in 2021 to freely donate blood in celebration of the International blood donor day on June 14th at the National Blood Transfusion Service in Kaduna. Light Wk also mobilized about 70 young people in June 2020 for the same purpose. In December 2019, LightWk, in collaboration with Resilient Aid and Dialogue Initiative, did a medical outreach for the Internally Displaced persons in Kajuru LGA, providing free medicare, clothes, spiritual care and counselling. Over 40 young missionaries volunteered including Doctors, Pharmacists, Medical Lab Scientists and Nurses. Another instance is December 2020, where LightWk in partnership with the Cancer Care and Medical Outreach and Shawulu Foundation made outreaches to Warji, Muda Bab'ba and Dansai communities in Bauchi state, providing medical care, spiritual care and counselling, empowerment schemes and skill acquisition trainings. The Organization was able to raise funds to build a house for a Retired Aged Person in one of the communities. Since 2022, LightWk organizes three medical outreaches each year, one on Easter friday, another in June and the third on the 1st October each year.
